Going live
Your site is offline until you take it live: visitors see a "Site offline" page.
Go live
Use the live switch in the header, or Firm settings → General → Website status, and click Go live. You need the Update firm settings permission. While the site is live, View site next to the switch opens it in a new tab.
There's nothing else to finish first: online payments are optional. A firm that's scheduled for deletion can't go live.
Go offline
Click Go offline in the same place. Visitors see the offline page, and clients can't use the portal, until you go live again.
Your site also goes offline by itself while your firm's access is locked: see When access is locked.
