Practice areas on your site

Your practice groups can each have a page on your site, with their areas as sections of it. They're listed at /practice-areas, and each group has its own page at /practice-areas/{address}.

Put a practice group on the site

  1. Open Firm settings → Practice areas and click Edit on the group.
  2. Under Publishing, switch on Show on the site. The group must also be enabled.
  3. Fill in its public details:
    • Card: the Short description and Image used in lists, cards and menus.
    • Page: the page's Text.
    • Lead: the person who leads the practice, shown while they're on your website team.
    • Address: the end of its web address, made from the name. Clear it to make it again from the current name; renaming the group doesn't change it.
    • Search: the title and description search engines show.
    • Custom fields, if your firm or theme uses them (for example highlights or representative matters).
  4. For each area, switch on Show on the page and write its short description and text.
  5. Click Save.

Setting up groups and areas needs Manage practice groups and areas; the public details need Manage site pages and navigation. If you only have one, you only change that part. See Practice areas and stages for the rest.

A disabled group or area never shows on the site, whatever its publishing settings.

To replace the /practice-areas list with your own page, publish a page with the permalink practice-areas.
