Pages

Website → Pages lists your site's pages. Every firm starts with Home, Contact, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Your legal text lives in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages: edit them like any other page.

Add a page

  1. Click Add page and give it a title.
  2. Click Edit to write it in the builder. See Editing pages in the builder.

Each page has its own address, /{permalink}, made from its title; change it in the page's settings. Pages don't nest: to group pages in a dropdown, arrange them in your menus. A few addresses are reserved for Mattersimple (such as /account, /login and /admin) and can't be used.

Publishing

A new page is a Draft: visitors can't see it. Changes you make in the builder are saved as a draft too, marked Unpublished changes, until you publish them.

  • Publish in the builder publishes every page you've changed there.
  • Publish (or Publish changes) on a page's row in the list publishes just that page.
  • Unpublish takes a page off your site straight away. Menu links to it are hidden until you publish it again.

The homepage

One published page is the homepage, shown at /. Choose another with Set as homepage: it takes over at once, and its own address sends visitors to /. The homepage can't be unpublished or deleted.

Delete a page

Delete removes a page from your site straight away, with its layout and the menu links pointing at it.
